Thanks for some great days at The Danish Lagoon, Siquijor Island. The room scores 10 out of 10 possible and the food is excellent. Everything here is of very high standards – even things you have not thought about yourself…
Such as having a room not full of ants because the cottages are of great Scandinavian standard or a full working shower big enough for a European, or toilet paper… or simply a bed not made of wood so you avoid those insect bites all the time …. Or your own safety box, satellite TV or …. In short: great Scandinavian standard in a filippine paradise.
Ask Johnny to show you around and you will be amazed. He will surely also show you the kitchen and I guess it is not often you will be allowed to see the kitchen down here …. Hehe and maybe that is the best for you but at the Danish Lagoon you will. And you will eat knowing that it is top quality all the way from where you sleep to what you eat.
And the atmosphere is unbelievable. You are not in a ordinary hotel but in a group of friends – you will feel like a member of the family. And the staff becomes just as their employers. Go there alone and you will enjoy being close friends or go there as a couple and enjoy the sunset at your own private balcony over the Mindanao Sea….
I cant think of anything missing but if I have to … there is no telephone in the rooms …. But I cant really figure out why I would need it. Anyway now it is mentioned.
Anything we forgot? Yes probably a lot. Such as the nice garden. But instead – why not just go and take a look yourself? We have been at many places in the Philippines and elsewhere and feel certain you will be satisfied unless you are ONLY looking for a low cost place to sleep. For a few Euro more you can enjoy your stay so much more and it is worth it. Believe me – you will experience the best of the Philippines even with Danish/Norwegian hosts – probably even more.
